About Wild Game Feast

Twenty years ago, the members of the DeLand Breakfast Rotary Club decided to host an annual fundraiser. They wanted to do something new and different to make their event stand out from the rest. The purpose of this event was to raise money for local non-profit organizations serving west Volusia County, Florida. A unique event would best serve this purpose, and after considerable thought and debate, the Albert D. Downs Wild Game Feast was born.

From 5 - 9 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2011, the members of the DeLand Breakfast Rotary Club will host the 20th Annual Albert D. Downs Wild Game Feast at the Volusia County Fairgrounds. Over the years, the event has grown into one of the largest annual fundraisers in our area, hosting more than 1,000 folks for an evening of wild game and camaraderie. Together, we have raised and distributed nearly $1.5 million for non-profit organizations and community groups such as The House Next Door, SPARC of Volusia, YoungLife of West Volusia , The Neighborhood Center, and Rotary projects such as Volusia Honor Air.

The success of the Wild Game Feast largely depends upon the generous sponsorsips of businesses. Again this year, we are counting on sponsors to make this year's event the best yet.
